Three weeks ago we were scheduled to host our annual Dancing for Rhinos Gala Event and our team was ready to tell you about a “Story of Courage”.
Three weeks have passed and life as we knew it has changed and we do not know what the future will bring.
It has also been a time of reflection and we were thinking of different ways to help those who cannot speak for themselves… our Rhinos. The world is on lock down; we are all affected by this, including our national parks and game reserves. No tourism means no revenue and yet, all the conservation initiatives and the protection of our wildlife needs to carry on.
We as the Dancing for Rhinos team do not know when we will be able to host our 2020 event but we decided not to sit still and wait… no, we prefer to create the change and pledge our help to this iconic species and the brave men and women, who protect and walk with them.
So here we go, this is our R10 “Walking with Rhinos” Campaign!
We aim to raise R50 000 to keep a courageous anti-poaching team walking and protecting our Rhinos. Every R10 counts, and if we can get 5000 supporters to each donate R10, we can reach our goal to keep them going “side by side”.
Let us do what we always do in times of need: unite, share, and create another “Story of Courage” for the future of our Rhinos.
